Course overview
By completing this qualification, learners will gain skills that enable them to work alongside other health and social care professionals to achieve organisational objectives. The ATHE level 5 Extended Diploma in Management for Health and Social Care is a 120 credit qualification on the Qualifications and Credit Framework making it the equivalent size and level of the second year of a degree.
Modules
There are three different sized qualifications. If you study the 120-credit extended diploma, then you must study all 4 mandatory units and select 3 or 4 optional units. If you study the 60-credit diploma, then you must study all 3 mandatory units and 1 optional unit. The certificate requires you to study the unit “Facilitating Change in Health and Social Care” plus either “Managing Communication” or “People Management”.

Entry Requirements
• Candidates must hold/meet one or more of the criteria on the list below:
• This course is designed for learners aged 19 and above.
• A certificate/ diploma in management studies or business management
• An equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution.
• Mature students with a minimum of two years relevant work experience may be considered.
• The provider will determine English Language ability if English is not your native language.
• IELTS 4.5 or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
Certification
The Diploma is issued by the ATHE – Awarding Organisation, Centre Number 9073 is an accredited and approved deliver Centre for ATHE qualifications.

Progressions
Learners may progress to
• employment or have increased opportunities for progression in their current role
• a higher level ATHE qualification at Level 6 or above, in a related subject
• the second year of a degree programme
Assessment
• Assignment drafts must be submitted within 1 week of the completion of the unit delivery by the lecturer.
• Submission is to be emailed to learnerwork@course4u.co.uk
• All submissions are to be done in Word Format
• You should receive an automated response that the assignment has been received
• Lecturers provide feedback within 2 weeks of submission of the draft
• Please ensure that assignment declarations are submitted with the assignments.

Enrolment Process
Step 1: Complete the Online Enrolment form
Kindly upload - Proof of identity (Passport or Photo Drivers Licence), previous qualifications, CV and work experience letters if applicable for exemption or Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL).
Step 2: Course 4 U will issue a Conditional Offer Letter
The offer letter has details of the Bank payment and how to make payment online via the secure sage pay system.
Step 3: Registration with awarding organisation
As the registration process is completed, several emails to set up the course logins will be sent within the hour.
Step 4: Online Induction
Induction, course discussion and demonstration to Learner Management System (LMS)
